OBS was FUNNNNN but VERY TIRING lahh...
okok. start from day ONE.
group members: aisyah,bailu,ginette,janet,karin,king yin,michelle,pei hua,peili,ruchika,sarah h,sarah k,shufen,yohanna.

[monday-16 MAY 2005]
went to school.
it was raining lahh.
so got wet even b4 OBS started.
yupp.
so went to punggol jetty.
blah blahhh...
all the intro stuff at pulau ubin.
i was in TENZING.
yupp...
then we went rock climbing.
learnt to belay... okok lahh.
quite fun.
cos it wasn't the real rock climbing thingy.
its just climbing some pole.
then we learnt how to pitch tents.
cooked our dinner and the rice wasn't even cooked lahh.
it LOOKS cooked but when you try it..........
haha.
and from the beach where we cooked can see singapore if i not wrong.
wahh... felt like escaping the first night.
and aisyah was like craving for COKE already.
then she made me think of COKE also.
haha.
then we cleared up.
washed the tins using sand and sea water.
then took a shower.
the toilet was so DISGUSTINGGGGG.
it was like flooded lahh and the water was dirty.
but still got no choice so just shower lahh.
after showering we still had to pack our stuff...
pack stuff into the bags they gave us lahh.
and ohh yahh... the waterbottle they provided was like dirty lahh.
but me being the early ones to grab water bottles.
i took the 2 cleanest water bottles i could find.
then at night, finally got to sleep.
when the dogs started barking lahh.
ahhhhh. irritating lahh.
i keep thinking they were gonna go into the tent or sth.
scare me.

[tuesday]
early morning woke up, unpitch our tents.
did our normal stuff...
then met up with our instructor (joannza-i dunno how to spell her name)
but yupp we call her JU.
we went kayaking...
so fun lahh.
then we had to beach up which is like so sad.
KAYAKING WAS SO MUCH FUN.
yupp.
but we had to go bring our backpacks the one they provided...
which is like HEAVY AND BIG to the boat.
yupp.
we loaded our stuff onto the boat.
then went to carry our kayaks to the other side of the beach where we
were gonna launch off from.
then it started to rain heavily.
sheltered at the dunno where lahh.
but yahh waited for dunno how long before the rain subsided.
then after that, we went kayaking again.
WOO HOOOOOO! :))
haha... but this time the real thing.
we kayaked to camp 1 from where we were which is camp 2.
then while waiting to beach up 2 by 2, it started to drizzle.
but we were already wet so it didn't matter lahh.
reached camp 2.
took our stuff from the boat...
then after that, we were given a short time to shower or sth.
i was like i guess one of the last ppl to shower.
i didn't even really shower cos there was no time.
i just rinsed myself.
which is like what a lot of ppl did lahh.
then hurried up to the MPH.
we did rock climbing there.
the real one with the rock wall.
after that, we did more packing.
JU went off so we were left with hillary.
so iskandar had to take care of us.
while waiting for him, we packed our stuff.
then when he came, we went to the campsite.
and it was already quite late for pitching tents.
we had little time and there was a fuss about cotton twine or strings lahh.
then halfway pitching tents, iskandar called us and asked us to go for dinner.
so both watches went for dinner.
we didn't have to cook! hahahaha.
i didn't really have the appetite to eat though.
so didn't eat much.
then some of us poured our stuff onto sarah k's plate.
so it looked like we finished our food.
haha.
then we washed up the plates.
but iskandar asked us to straight away eat supper.
so we ate supper which was green beans.............
didn't finish that up too. washed up everything
then continued pitching tents.
it was like soooo dark already.
difficult to pitch tent lahh.
then some more our campsite that night was scary.
and sooo dark lahh.
yupp...
then after pitching our tents, met up with iskandar.
he taught us the stuff in the medical kit.
then went to sleep.
didn't even shower lahh. no time.
managed to fall asleep.
but it rained at night.
my friend got wet.

[wednesday]
woke up, unpitch our tent.
then went to meet iskandar.
went for breakfast.
met up with JU cos she came back already.
then we packed some more.
then briefing.
went off for expedition.
wahh damn tiring lahh the whole thing.
cos we had to carry the backpack and i had to carry the tent after a while.
ginette was too tired so took the tent from her.
so i ended up with the tent.
reached the campsite quite early.
all sooo tired already.
trekked about 8km liddat.
i don't think 8 km would've been that tiring of not for the load we were carrying.
so after the instructor talked to us and stuff...
we pitched our tents.
only hillary and my watch was at the campsite...
later on then, armstrong and colombus came.
then we were joking a lot lahh.
there were a lot of wild dogs lahh.
then after that, we went to cook dinner.
after that, wash up.
we had a lot of free time till lights out.
so some stayed up some slept.
i stayed up for a while then went to sleep.
which was quite difficult cos it was sooo hot lahh.
but when i was like half-asleep or sth,
we were woken up.
cos the patrol policemen came.
2 of them.
there were like litter and leftovers from dinner not properly cleared up.
and some wild dogs were eating it.
so we had to clear up then we were like reminded by the 2 policemen
to clear up properly if not, not only wild dogs will come, but wild boars also.
yupp. then after that, went back to sleep.

[thursday]
woke up, as usual, unpitch tent.
then went to pack stuff.
some of them didn't even brush teeth cos don't have proper place.
BUT I DID.
haha.
then we trek to the quarry.
did rafting and didn't succeed.
i think we felt like quite upset over that lahh.
then after that, we went for a quarry dip.
we had to wish for sth for tenzing.
like what you wanna see in tenzing.
the dip was refreshing lahh..
then JU told us that there are monitor lizards around the quarry area.
then after the dip, went to change in the bushes.
tsk tsk.
no choice.
then we trek back to camp 2.
everybody was so happy when we reached camp 2.
then we were given instructions on how to clear our backpacks and our lifevests,
helmets and harnests. then did all our stuff.
then JU came.
then we cooked dinner.
dinner was like really nice that day.
then we washed up...
my hands got really dirty that night.
then pitch tents.
and aisyah was happily bathing.
had to wait for her.
in the end, when we came back, they almost finished pitching tents.
i only helped out with one peg.
haha.
then went to shower.
then sat in the tent where they were staying up.
after that, listened to about 2 ghost stories before returning to my own tent to sleep.
keep waking up cos its cold and itchy.
but got to sleep...
yupp...

[friday]
woke up, went toilet then unpitch tent.
it was so cold lahh.
all of them, at least most of them was excited about going home.
then after that, we packed our stuff...
went to wash up stuff.
had some interaction time which was sad.
a bit emotional.
yupp...
gave out certs. yupp.
then we bought souvenirs and stuff...
brought out bags near the instructor's area.
then did area cleaning.
and we had to clean the toilet.
DISGUSTINGGGGGG.
i'd rather clean the school toilet.
then there was this disposable underwear on the floor.
and my instructor asked me to pick it up.
EWWWWWWWWWW.
had no choice so just grab some tissue and picked it up.
UGHHHHH! picking up the rubber band was ok but UNDERWEAR!
haizzzzzzz....
yupp.
then we went to the place where we sheltered during the heavy rain.
waited and waited.
then halfway eating my orange, they called my class.
had to throw some orange and went off.
all of us met up and were like telling stories.
hahahaha.
then in the bus, it was quite noisy.
some people were sleeping though.
then song jia slept until she fell off the seat.
haha. reached school, went toilet.
then went home.
took the bus with kailing and meily. yupp.
then i went macs first.
savoured the taste of COKE.
hahahahahaha. then went home.
bro was home also.
gave him the polo tee i bought for him.
then took a shower.
so refreshed.
then played my piano.
didn't realise how much i missed it lahh.
then i went online i think.
haha.
yupp...
then fell asleep lahh.
until smallville started.
short nap only.
watched smallville.
haha. that's how OBS went. yupp.
shall blog about BIG WALK and PICNIC some other time.
should go sleep now.
so late. must be prepared to collect results tomorrow.
haha. okok. nightttssss! :)
